REPORTS TO: Director of Training and Customer Support
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Professional Development Trainer will assist in the development of member and staff training programs and associated activities. Training Programs will include real estate fundamentals, leadership development, teambuilding, TREND specific education and other topics as needed. The Professional Development Trainer will coordinate internal and external resources for conducting these programs and associated activities. The Professional Development Trainer will personally conduct and administer training activities, assist in conducting training needs analysis, curricula design, development and delivery of training programs. The Professional Development Trainer will have the responsibility to develop, administer and deliver focus group research projects.
A training program is defined as a series of courses, seminars, sessions and/or activities.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Evaluate training curricula and determine effectiveness.
•Determine training requirements for members and employees.
•Improve existing training curricula.
•Design new training programs.
•Design custom training programs.
•Develop and conduct Ad-Hoc training.
•Standardize all education materials.
•Facilitate the development of presenters.
•Improve existing and create new training materials to supplement classes and to answer questions directed through support departments (Help Desk, Industry Relations and Account Executives).
•Attend and make presentations at meetings, functions and trade shows.
•Work individually or in teams to document, develop, and/or enhance products and services.
•Develop focus group project plans and administer the plan.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
•Track and maintain all training projects and schedules.
•Administer and manage all training programs.
•Coordinate all training activities with relevant departments as needed.
•Submit expense reports according to documented departmental polices.
OTHER:
•Work effectively without constant supervision and as a team player.
•Keep abreast of real estate industry and technology issues by reading industry publications and monitoring industry web sites.
•Keep abreast of training related trends, theories, issues and skills.
•Attend industry related seminars and training programs.
•Professional, positive and results-oriented attitude.
•Maintain a consistently professional image and promote TREND as a professional quality service organization.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
•Experience training end-users on software applications.
•Excellent writing skills.
•Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
•Computer literacy (personal computers, software and printers).
•Excellent organizational skills
•Knowledge of, or ability to learn internet-based, real estate specific computer applications
•Knowledge of, or ability to learn about the real estate industry
•Bachelor’s degree, or other work related experience, with a major in education, training, organizational development, psychology or communication.
