About the Position
The technical recruiter will work as a contract employee for Granite Services International recruiting candidates for our client, General Electric.
Locations:
Schenectady, NY; Mobile, AL; Richmond, VA; Atlanta, GA; and Tampa, FL
Broad Function
Identify, attract and present skilled and qualified personnel for technical job opportunities.
Principle Responsibilities
Develop and recommend recruitment strategies for assigned open positions and communicate strategies with hiring managers in regional US and international locations.
Screen potential hires for key position attributes and fit within the culture of the client organization.
Develop collaborative working relationships with managers within Granite Services and Granite’s client base.
Understand key Granite or client business drivers and initiatives as they relate to anticipated resource needs and timing.
Proactively keep abreast of industry trends, market availability of skill sets and current market data relative to staffing including salary shifts.
Understand clients’ NDT competitors and proactively recruit top talent from those companies.
Establish “pipelines” for recruitment of entry level candidates graduating from top NDT technical schools or exiting the military.
Key Position Requirements
Detailed knowledge of Nondestructive Testing (NDT), prior experience in the NDT industry and a wide range of contacts in the field is required.
Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational and prioritizing abilities, negotiation skills and good business judgment is essential.
Demonstrated internet sourcing and data mining skills.
Must be self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with limited supervision
Proficient in the use of applicant tracking software, candidate database management, various sourcing techniques, internet job boards and various data mining techniques.
Possess collaborative interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills and able to interact and make presentations.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.
Education & Experience
BA or BS degree or at least three years of relevant industry experience
Experience sourcing, screening and presenting qualified professionals for technical and non-technical job opportunities.
Experience in the Power Generation industry is desired.
Proficient with MS Office
