We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who is responsible for providing manufacturing and technical
support to production assembly operations. This position reports to the Manufacturing
Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
Develop production techniques, workbench layouts, and appropriate tools to provide process simplification.
Develop and implement work place layouts to include both assembly lines (continuous flow) and work cells (batch and queue) as appropriate.
Provide process support documents, which include visual aids, work instructions, and routings.
Develop engineered time standards and cost estimates.
Develop, document and implement training programs.
Interface with design engineering, production, and quality to ensure design for manufacturability.
Assist the appropriate engineer, supervisor or production employee in trouble shooting production problems and implementing engineering solutions.
Design, document, and implement manufacturing assembly tools and fixtures to support the manufacturing operation.
Develop and implement cost reduction programs.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years manufacturing experience within the sheet metal or an industrial manufacturing related industry.
Must have broad-based knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering techniques.
Should have broad-based knowledge of state of the art manufacturing practices including material flow and industrial engineering principles and practices.
Must have had experience with PC based applications to include Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, proE design, and Solidworks.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Must be proficient in written and oral communications and have the ability to control a large number of activities in a dynamic environment, simultaneously without sacrificing goals.
