Description : We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who is responsible for providing manufacturing and technical support to production assembly operations. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Responsibilities: • Develop production techniques, workbench layouts, and appropriate tools to provide process simplification. • Develop and implement work place layouts to include both assembly lines (continuous flow) and work cells (batch and queue) as appropriate. • Provide process support documents, which include visual aids, work instructions, and routings. • Develop engineered time standards and cost estimates. • Develop, document and implement training programs. • Interface with design engineering, production, and quality to ensure design for manufacturability. • Assist the appropriate engineer, supervisor or production employee in trouble shooting production problems and implementing engineering solutions. • Design, document, and implement manufacturing assembly tools and fixtures to support the manufacturing operation. • Develop and implement cost reduction programs. Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required. • Minimum of 3 - 5 years manufacturing experience within the sheet metal or an industrial manufacturing related industry. • Must have broad-based knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering techniques. • Should have broad-based knowledge of “state of the art” manufacturing practices including material flow and industrial engineering principles and practices. • Must have had experience with PC based applications to include Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, proE design, and Solidworks. • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. • Must be proficient in written and oral communications and have the ability to control a large number of activities in a dynamic environment, simultaneously without sacrificing goals.
